What is DEI? DEI stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. It's a framework or approach used in various contexts, including workplaces, education, and society at large, to promote fairness, equal opportunities, and the inclusion of individuals of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
DIVERSITY: Carlmont High School recognizes and affirms diversity. Whether it be background, identity, interest or ability, we promote a campus culture of respect and support.
EQUITY: There is a considerable intention to provide
resources and
access to all programs offered at CHS. If a student or parent feels that they (their child) is not offered an equitable opportunity, please make sure to communicate with a trusted adult (student counselor, teacher, or administrator).
INCLUSION: Our intention is to be inclusive. We have regular communication out to families,
meetings to share information or address concerns, and
program availability to all. There are events and opportunities to be involved at Carlmont. Please know that we would love you to come to any and all of these events.
COMMUNITY LINKS: There are many programs in the community that are inclusive. Check out
